CDCers,
I am happy to announce that we have hired a new CDC student staff member. Many of you already know her as she was recommended by several of you. Charlotte Balogh will be starting here Monday afternoon. For those of you that do not know Charlotte yet, she is a sophomore TRF major and is a very active student here at SU. She is a currently a member of Phi Sigma Pi and is a co-executive producer at OTN. I think she's going to make an awesome addition to our team and I believe she will catch on quick. Now on to the boring stuff... :-( Some of you receive emails or have students pop in the office and say, "I took the Job Hunt last semester and I haven't received my username and password to The Network yet." Chances are they did and they actually deleted it because they did not recognize the sender. The email comes from The Tina Press & David Rubin Career Development Center. (For those of you that have taken the JHM, Bridget and Kelly show a sample of the email in a slide during the presentation.) Now our student staff is able to search for the students that may have this problem. First, verify that the student has attended the seminar, by looking for their name on the sign-in roster. This can be found in the Common Folder. Scroll down to Seminars > Attendance > Job Hunt Marathon. The roster is organized by the date of the seminar and then student's last name. If the student was in attendance that day, then you can sign-on to Versation using this link: http://partners.versation.com/syracuse/backroom/index.php I will then give you the username and password for log-in. Keep in mind that if the student was late or had left the seminar early, their attendance was not recorded. Once you are signed on to Versation, click on User Data. Select Students and you can actually leave All Years. Below All Years there is a box with show unverified students next to it. Be sure to select that box or the student will not show up. If the student's name appears, click on it. His or hers user data will appear along with the username and password. Copy and paste that to the student. If the student's name does not appear, let me know. I also want to say THANK YOU to you guys. I received everyone's timesheet on time. Keep it up! Happy Friday, Brittany
