The first two weeks went by fast... I am so happy with the CDC Team's performance. Each shift is getting their assigned work completed when asked, you are all doing a great job with FileMakerPro, the office looks clean and neat at all times and each staff member is pulling their own weight. So, I only have a few things to share with everyone:
- Remember that the CDC is a working office. Kelly, Bridget and myself have a lot going on right now. Please try to keep distractions to a minimum and use inside voices. - As many of you heard in the training meeting, we are making a "Fashion Show" video. I use quotation marks because we're not walking a runway or modeling fashions on a step and repeat. We are having our "models" dress the part for different business scernarios. The scenarios will be relatable to Newhouse students, like what to wear to a networking event or a career fair. I know I have a few of you on board to participate in the video; however we still need more. If you feel comfortable being in the video and you have a versatile business wordrobe, it would be great to have more of the CDC staff involved. Let me know ASAP if you would like to volunteer. - Are you looking to pick up a shift for some extra $$? We are looking for two students to assist us with the Internship Fair. If you are interested, please expect to work from 1:30 to 3:30/4. As always, first come, first served, but it is always nice to have a few alternates just in case something comes up. - Are you reading CDCNews? If I just happened to give you a quiz one day could you pass it? I don't believe in "open book"... Make sure you read and initial CDCNews. I sit right behind the front desk. I know what you're doing. - If you feel that you could benefit from a little extra assistance with certain tasks in the CDC, such as, making an appointment or how to handle an alumni phone call, let me know. We can all use a little refresher from time to time. Until next time, keep up the good work and the positive attitudes! -Brittany
