Welcome back CDCers, I hope everyone had a relaxing break and are ready to take Newhouse by storm this semester. This post is going to be about pretty lame (but very important) CDC stuff. First, I want everyone to get into the habit of checking their folders at the beginning of their shift. In some folders there are internships that have been sitting for 2 weeks. Let's stay on top of them. When you have completed your internships for the day, please hand in your folder. It's the easiest way to tell me your internships and extra projects are ready to be reviewed and I don't get confused with who did what nor do I catch you mid-project or internship, which has happened this semester. A little change to our closing shifts... Brian has asked me to just leave the Mac computers up and running. They actually use less energy by going into sleep mode than to be turned off and on daily. One less thing everyone has to do! Timesheets... Everyone received my email about timesheets last week. I need to be stern about the weekly deadline. When I'm sending in timesheets and then have to resend stragglers throughout the day, it doesn't look too professional for the CDC. So if you need to send me them at the end of your shift please do so. Lastly, we are looking for a new CDC Staff member to pick-up time gaps in the schedule. I will let you know very soon with who we are hiring. In Tonya Bauer fashion and in spirit of basketball season... Have an awesome Wednesday!
